The painting, offered at Christie’s on 18 October, achieved a new world auction record for the artist. It is today widely recognised as not only one of Robyn Denny's most well-known paintings, but also a hugely significant painting in the history of post-war British art.

Arts Council Collection acquires Tanoa Sasraku’s ‘Jacket Front R’ (2023)

The acquisition was made from Vardaxoglou Gallery’s Stand H10 at Frieze London. The Arts Council Collection is the most widely circulated national collection of modern and contemporary British art.
